Spike Lee Pays Tribute To Michael Jackson’s Boyhood Home

Spike Lee is known as one of the most premier auteurs of our time. It only makes sense that such an innovator would choose to pay tribute to the most premier entertainer of our time–really ever–by directing a short film about Michael and The Jackson Family’s rise from Gary, Indiana to the top of the charts. Spike chooses to focus primarily on the modest home that The Jacksons grew up and honed their talent in, now known as 2300 Jackson Street. Spike’s hope that the family’s home will one day be recognized as a national landmark seems appropriate given the inspiration that their rise to fame gave to the residents of Gary, some of whom are interviewed as part of this documentary. It’s a great reminder that in tragedy, not all is lost.”
